Mermaid / fish scales nail art

Hey there! I made these mermaid /slash/ fish scale nails the other day, using my brand new pretty Pure Color no. 10 nail art brush! I think they look very cool and 3D, almost like you could feel the scaly texture if you touched them... Click to read more!

I bought my beautiful new brush from Fab Ur Nails and it only took about 4 weeks to get here XD She doesn't have a shop, just an order form with the pictures of the products. You can also add her as a friend on Facebook and keep in touch with her about your order. That's what I did!

For the base, I used Sally Hansen Bling-tastic and Be-Jeweled. The gradient was really easy to make, I didn't even need a sponge for it. I just applied Bling-tastic first, let that dry properly, and then dabbed some Be-Jeweled from the tip upwards.

I used my super fancy schmancy new Pure Color no. 10 brush to draw the scales. I started out with white acrylic paint, thinking that that would be enough. That looked... mmm kinda cool, but not quite cool enough.
I traced the white lines with black acrylic paint to make the scales look even better. And look! I think I succeeded *proud face*

I really like this design, I think it looks awesome! If you like it too, feel free to share it! Thank you!
