Stained glass twin nails!

Helloooo! I did twin nails with my sweet friend Celestine and if you follow me on Instagram, you have already seen these nails today! These stained glass nails weren't even that hard to make, and I had a lot of fun with them :-) Click to see more!

We were inspired by @paintedpolishbylexi and @just1nail on Instagram, and the inspiration for the heart came from @twentysixnails and @dressedupnails :-)

Okay, so these were actually pretty easy to make! Celestine and I had our inspiration pictures so we knew what to do.

I painted my nails white and let that dry properly. Then, I painted the black outlines with black acrylic paint and a detail brush. I filled in the shapes using actual ceramic and glass paint, I had it laying around and I thought it would be a nice effect! Turns out that you can't really see the difference... but it was easy enough to work with and kind of fun :D
Lastly, I traced the black lines again to make them neat and crisp. I didn't add top coat for the pictures because I like the matte look of the black lines. I think it looks more like lead strips this way.

What do you think? Does it look like real stained glass to you?
This is Celestine's artwork! Isn't it beautiful? I actually like hers better than mine, I think the color is off in my pictures. My fingers look dead while her colors are beautiful and vivid <3

Be sure to check out her blog too! She has some great posts and she's a real sweetheart, so take a minute and show her some love!
