Jior Couture special collection: As Your Indie Maker, I Command You

Ohhhhh am I excited to share this collection with you today! Our lovely Sacha from Jior Couture got together with Lelia from Green Goddess Creations to bring you a very special, limited edition True Blood inspired collection! Click to see my swatches and read my review!

The collection is called 'As Your Indie Maker, I Command You' and this just cracked me up! If you've watched True Blood, you'll get what it's about :-p

Now, the names of these polishes are a little on the adult side, so I've made it a little more family friendly to display here on the blog. I hope you don't mind!

And excuse the mess, but a vampire died the True Death all over these polishes! That's what I was going for anyways, hahahaha.... enjoy the review!
Danger W****

This is a black polish with red glitters! It's great for a dark look with a little bit of extra 'zing' to it. The glitter flashes when the light hits them and it gives it a really cool element of surprise!
The glitters make the polish very bumpy, almost like a texture polish but smoother. I used two coats of top coat to get this result, and while it feels smooth, it still doesn't look perfectly smooth in the bright light.
I used two coats of Danger W**** for this level of opacity, which was great! There were plenty of glitters with each coat and they were perfectly suspended in the polish.
Maybe I Wear Too Much Pink

I bet you do! I have a lot of pink in my wardrobe but that's just because I love it so much :D

Aaaanyway, the polish! Maybe I Wear Too Much Pink is a matte shimmer polish, that just looks ah-mazing. I love this! And I love that it dries matte because it's basically two polishes in one bottle!
The matte effect just makes this polish so special. I honestly don't know which way I like it better, matte or glossy.
I used three coats of this polish to achieve opacity, and it dried very quickly so I really didn't need the top coat. But I added it for swatching purposes and....
...see what I mean about two polishes in one? Totally different look with a top coat! The shimmer really stands out and it's just so gorgeous!
Precious Faery V*****

Yeahhh another censored name, I'm so sorry guys! I just don't feel comfortable putting those words on my blog *girly giggle*

This polish might be my favorite in this collection! I like saying the name to my friends, they giggle along with me and it looks awesome too.
It's kind of a glitter bomb in a clear base, which is why it's so amazing that this is only three coats and it's completely opaque! There's so much in the mix that I can't even make out all of the different glitters and flakies, but it's a great mixture of gold and silver ones. Very sophisticated, except for the name!
I didn't use a top coat on top because honestly, this polish didn't need it. Not for the shine, because it has loads of that, and not for the drying time because it was very, very fast. I'm a BIG fan of this polish!
And did you know it looks even more amazing in the sun?!?! Look at those holo glitters, I love that!
S** On A Throne

Ofcourse a black polish can't miss in a True Blood inspired collection! Neither can red, but Sacha knows I'm not a fan of red ;-) She's really smart, that lady! *shameless sucking up*

S** On A Throne is a black polish (no rlly) with all kinds of iridescent glitters in different shapes and sizes. It dries to a matte finish, which makes the glitter stand out in an excellent way!

As you can see there's so much going on in this polish, and it changes with every shift in the light.
I used two coats of this polish to reach opacity, and it was SO easy! The glitters come out easily and they spread out over the nail without any extra help. Just easy peasy polishing.
With a top coat on top, you can see how the glitter disappears a bit but you can see the jelly properties of this polish even better!
S*** Me, Vampire Barbie

Ahhh another great polish! This must be getting annoying but I really love this collection! I've been a Truebie since the very first episode, I was hooked! And to see a collection carried out in such a way that I love both the polish and what it stands for, as well as the diversity withing the collection... I'm just totally fan girling right now :-p
There's pink holo and black micro glitter in this polish, I think this is what makes me think of berries when I see this polish :-p
S*** Me, Vampire Barbie is kind of a between purple and pink -ish color. It's really hard to pinpoint what to call this color exactly, but you can look at the different swatches in the Jior shop to get an accurate idea of what to expect.
The True Death

Whoa that's dark! Ofcourse, dying the True Death is a dark occasion. So it's rather fitting, don't you think?

The True Death is a really, really, and I do mean REALLY dark red brownish polish. It looks black to the naked eye, but I think I managed to capture some of the redness.
One thick coat can give you this level of opacity, but I'd recommend using two thinner ones for a quicker drying time. Trust me, you'll thank me later! I used a top coat on top and it doesn't make much of a difference for smoothness or shine.
Why Do You Smell So Good?

Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes! I love everything about this polish, the green color is perfect and chique, the formula is smooth and fast-drying, the holo is gorgeous and the smell..... it's a scented polish so it smells like citrus laundry detergent, or toilet air freshener but let's go with the detergent!
So um, YEAH! This is a green holographic polish with a citrus scent, top coat doesn't diminish the yummy smell but it was nearly gone after wearing it for a day. But during that first day, ahhhh so good!
I'm very sensitive to smells and the scented stuff (candles, polish, etc) usually drives me nuts, it gives me this kind of sharp pain in the back of my nose... I was very cautious when planning my swatch of this polish, I wanted to have the time to take it off and properly wash my hands to get rid of it. But then, I didn't. It was just so delicious, I'm so sad I can't share smells on my blog because you HAVE to smell this!
And the holo-ness, ofcourse! This picture was taken under a strong LED light. It flares up nicely, doesn't it?
I'm Kind Of A Big Deal

Edit: I'm Kind Of A Big Deal is sold out already! Whoa, so fast!

I saved. THE BEST. For last! You will want to see this polish. I'm Kind Of A Big Deal is a gorgeous multichrome that I had lots of fun with photographing. It changes with every angle and it's just amazing!
All of these pictures are showing one coat over black, with a top coat on top. This particular picture is a cool trick for photographing multichromes! It's taken under water and I'm pointing a strong LED light at my nails to get this effect. Very pretty!
This is normal daylight, you can see my four roof windows reflected in the nails. You'll see these blue and purple colors most often, and I saw them best in this diffuse daylight. Gorgeous!
I mean, COME ON!!! How much prettiness do you want from one polish? This has everything: it has great formula, awesome effects and excellent drying time!
I have SO many more pictures of I'm Kind Of A Big Deal to share, so if you want, scroll down for some more stuff to drool over!

In the mean time, iff you like what you see, get your butt over to the Jior Couture shop because this is only half of the collection! They have lots more gorgeous polishes to choose from! You can also follow them on   Facebook,  TwitterGoogle+Pinterest and Instagram. Thanks so much for letting me show off your gorgeous polishes Sacha!!!
