Falling stars landscape nail art + video tutorial!
Awww it's the perfect day for more glow in the dark nail art! It's getting dark here early now so I'm getting the maximum amount of joy from my glow polishes :D I've had this nail art idea in my head for a while now and it's even prettier than I had imagined it. I just really love that glow in the dark effect! Oh and I made a tutorial for you guys, so you can make this yourself!
Serum No. 5. I used Lights Out for the black background, Indi-Glo for the blue in the sky, Blue Blazes for the water in the lake and Pure Glow Getter for the stars, The rest of the black is acrylic paint.
I used three brushes to make this design: a flat brush from eBay, my Basic One Gold detail brush from Christrio Scotland (I use this brush for acrylic paint) and my Pure Color Glamour #1 detail brush (I use it for polish). I think this is the most brushes I've ever used on one single design!
HK Girl top coat on it to smooth out the glow pigment. You're going to make the sky using the one stroke technique. Dip one corner of a flat brush into black polish, and the other corner into a blue polish. Swipe it along a piece of paper several times to make the gradient, and then you can paint your sky (make sure the black is on the side towards the cuticle, so the blue fades into the black sky going upwards). It takes some practice but then it's not so hard! If you need more instructions, you can find my tutorial for the basics here: http://www.piggieluv.com/2014/07/one-stroke-basics-with-video-tutorial.html
Use a black polish or acrylic paint to make the silhouettes of trees, people (I painted kids), houses, whatever you think will look good. Top coat and you're done!
