Nail art using silicone brushes

Weird, but oddly fun? Or at least I hope so :) It kind of reminds me of industrial steel, but more colorful! Come see the video tutorial to find out how to make this! Click to see more!

I started out with a thoroughly dried base of Gosh Silver. It needs to be really dry before getting to the next step because otherwise you'll mess up the base.

Then I applied a coat of Color Club Mother Pucker over the silver, and before it got a chance to dry properly, I grabbed the cup chisel silicone brush from my PurJoi set and gently pressed it into the tacky polish to make these weird indentations.
You know, I don't think 'brush' is the right name for these silicone tools. They don't hold polish and it takes a lot of effort to paint a nice line with them using acrylic paint. They are more like carver's tools, you can sculpt with them and make certain shapes. And they are SUPER easy to clean!

Silicone brushes are mostly used for gel polish, hard gel and acrylics but since I never work with those things (except occasionally gel polish), it was up to me to find a way to make these tools work with regular polish. I hope to find other cool ways to use them for nail art!

I received Color Club Mother Pucker & the PurJoi silicone brushes as a press sample. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.
