Coffee forever nail art

Even if the weather gets cooler, coffee will keep us warm! Coffee is always there for us, to comfort us, keep us awake, get us through the rough times. Who needs a boyfriend when you can have coffee XD

The background gradient is made with SuperChic Lacquer Rum-Billie & Awesome Sauce (the name really does it justice!) and they're awesome for gradients because they're really opaque, so I was done in a jiffy.

I painted the design with acrylic paint and two new brushes: the Minty 0 and the Peachy 000 (that means tiny tiny tiny) from Mitty. The Peachy is great to work with but the tip is a little more prone to bending than the other brushes, probably because of the miniscule size. It worked fine for the ridiculously small text though!

I received SuperChic Lacquer Rum-Billie & Awesome Sauce as well as the Mitty brushes as a press sample. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.

SuperChic Lacquer Urban Dictionary collection

Jump into this book with me and I'll tell you the thrilling tale of the new Urban Dictionary collection by SuperChic Lacquer!! These are all one coater super holos, it keeps surprising me how opaque these actually are. They make my mouth water and my painting fingers tingly. I can't wait to make some cool nail art with these beauties!

The making of this video was definitely an adventure, I had some ants getting more personal than I would have liked :-p There was also a close encounter between some rocks and my kneecaps, and loose glitter that went EVERYWHERE but I survived it all!

Glowy baby elephant nail art

I'm not usually able to do a good skittle mani, matching different nails up to form a whole... but I think this one is a success, if I may say so myself! The little baby elephant just makes me want to go 'awwwww'!

Like the title says, it glows :) I used Serum No. 5 Raspberry Delight for my index finger, Guiding Light for the middle, and Atomic Peach for my pinkie (plus some China Glaze Fairy Dust on top). My ring finger nail is a gradient with Atomic Peach & Raspberry Delight.

The fine lines were painted with my dark brown acrylic paint, I prefer it over black because it just looks more friendly. I used a brand new brush, the Candy 00 by Mitty. It. Is. Heaven! The tip is sharper than any other brush I've tried. I have a couple others to try too :D
SURPRIIIIIISE! I DO have two hands! It's a well kept secret *cough cough* that I don't often paint my rightie but I went to meet friends and just felt like it for this once. So enjoy!

Through the woods nail art

I could say a lot of deep things about this design, but honestly I'm in too funny a mood to be deep right now :-p

This was an interesting design to do because of how the light falls. Oh and everything was GREEN, so hard to paint distinguishable shapes with just different shades of green!

The black polish is Picture Polish Black. I painted the design with my trusty acrylic paint (I had to buy a new bottle of my absolute favorite green paint, it's so perfect for painting leaves!) and my Roubloff 00 detail brush.

Glitter doodle nail art

A doodle. I do doodle. You, too! You do doodle too! Somehow the colors of the glitter gradient reminds me of those ice creams with the waffles on both sides... And it has been HOT this week!

I didn't really know what to do on my nails, except that it should be something sparkly :) I started doodling on top of a 3 color glitter gradient made with SuperChic Lacquer Material Girl, Skin Tight & Own It! and this is what it became!

The doodles are made with acrylic paint and my Roubloff 00 detail brush, as always :-p

Ahhh and major bonus points if you caught the Buffy reference in this blog post!

Another extreme camouflage nail art

A year after doing my first extreme camouflage nails, I'm back with another one of these! I had a hard time finding a good spot to photograph, it needs to be something close to home so I can come back after painting and take a picture with the nails and the background. Eventually I found this watermill!

Aaaaand this is what it looks like while I'm working on it... I set up the large blocks of color first, to get a sense of where everything is supposed to go. Then comes the tweaking of the lines, I make sure they line up with the background, and the details get added last!

Glow balloons nail art

They're sooooo cute! I usually paint really tall people but I went with a kind of Munchkin-look this time, for increased adorableness.

The balloons are 3D-ish, I added a little blob of clear sculpting gel on top of them for special effects ;-)

Also, glow in the dark! The background is Serum No. 5 Guiding Light, did I mention in my earlier posts how much I LOVE this polish?
All of the balloons are painted with little dots of different Serum No. 5 polishes too: Awesome Blossom, Wisteria-ously Bright, Blue Blazes, Glowin' of Eden, Solar Power and Orange You Sunny.

Aaaand the cute couple was painted with acrylic paint.

I received Serum No. 5 Guiding Light & Wisteria-ously Bright as a press sample. I bought Awesome Blossom, Blue Blazes, Glowin' of Eden, Solar Power & Orange You Sunny with my own money. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.

Birthday cocktail nail art

Oh boy this cocktail turned out so bad XD My birthday was great though! Nice and quiet but a lot of fun, it was the perfect birthday for me :)

The base is SuperChic Lacquer On Point and I made a gradient using the OPI Color Paints. The bubbles are easy if you know how! Just water down some acrylic paint, paint a dot and carefully suck up the liquid in the center of the bubble. I like to use a tissue but I've also seen it done with a dry brush or a cotton swab.
