Masura swatches & review

Masura is a Russian brand, famous for their holographic and magnetic polishes. I was so honored when they messaged me and I got the opportunity to try some of their gorgeous products! I've been working on some nail art with them for the past month, but I really wanted to swatch them as well, to show them in their full beauty. I hope I did them justice, that is up to you to decide ;-)

Let's start with three magnetic polishes! This is Zeus on Golden Cloud and it's a light olive-y green magnetic polish. I used three coats because it's pretty light so it has a hard time reaching opacity. The super cool magnetic effect is achieved by hovering a magnet right over the polish without actually touching the surface. This is hard and takes some practice, and a steady hand!

Sky Gardens is a dark green magnetic polish. I used two coats, no top coat. I really like this polish both with and without the magnetic effect!

Lighthouse Golden Beam is... versatile. It's great both normally applied, and after use of a magnet. I used two coats and 'magneted' the second coat, no top coat. The blue/purple flakies really float my boat, but I'm not sure if I like them combined with brown. What do you think?

Holographic Kiss is one of my favorites of this ragtag assembly of polishes. It's a soft nude-ish color with a slight pink hue to it, and oh yeah did I mention it's holographic? I used two coats, no top coat and this is smooooth as butter.

This duochrome Sky Temple is so hard to photograph! The shift really shows itself at hard angles, which works great for your eyes in real life, but harder to capture on camera. It's an icy lake kind of blue, really an electric color, that shifts to purple and sometimes shows a flash of magenta! I used three coats because it's slightly on the sheer side.

Swan Lake reminds me of a beautiful deep night sky with stars that you can see glitter above your head. Makes you feel small, doesn't it? It's a deep blue jelly polish with one size holographic silver hex glitters. I used two coats with top coat, and it dried really well!

Bla bla has silver shards in different sizes and tiny silver glitters in a clear base. I used one coat over dark purple, with top coat. This is... not really my kind of polish. I think I'm too much of a control freak? And this polish makes unexpected patterns and combinations, that vary when applied differently. If you like surprised, this is one for you!

Lastly,  I have some gel polishes to show you. These all come in small black 3,5ml bottles with a color sticker on the top of the cap.  They cure in 30 - 60 seconds under LED and have a slightly tacky layer after curing.

What charm it lacks in the name, 294-244 makes up for with happy colors that remind me of candy, and a really cool thermal effect. This gel polish is opaque in 2 coats and it's a soft pastel yellow in warm temperatures, and a delicious Barbie pink when it's cold! The pictures are edited to show the both warm & cold state in one image.

My apologies for the grainy pictures, daylight was running out and I had to crank up my camera's settings too far. Either way, 294-247 shows its potential in these pictures that yes, I had to edit in order to show both the dark purple of the cold state, and the green, turquoise leaning color of the polish when it's warm.

Another appealing name, 294-229 is a glitter gel polish with purple & silver glitters, and silver shards. I used three coats and it definitely looks opaque. I had a hard time getting the cuticle line to look neat, due to some glitters 'going rogue'. In the sun, this looks like little diamonds shimmering and glittering on your nails!

Whew! That's all 10 of them! What's your favorite? Mine are definitely the magnetics, I just really love that they can be worn in more than one way!

Find out here where to buy Masura products from anywhere in the world. You can also follow them on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube (it's worth it, they post the most gorgeous photos!).

I received all of the polishes in this article as a press sample. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.
