Fall love birds nail art

This nail art is inspired by the love birds tutorial by polish goddess Robin Moses. If you don't know her: shame on you! You should really check it out because wow... what she paints on nails just leaves me speechless.

I was almost afraid to try out her design until I saw how one of the other bloggers I follow painted it (sorry, forgot who it was, looked good though!). I gave it a go and this is what I made of it. I replaced the rainbow colors with colors I associate with fall. Left hand is painted as a sort of gradient, from yellow through orange and red to brown and gold:

My right hand is painted with two matching colors on one nail:
