Curse in the sky, one stroke nail art (glow in the dark) + video tutorial!

Hey ladies! I've been wanting to recreate my Northern Lights nail art from a while back but this time I gave it a Halloween twist! This is a kind of curse hanging in the sky over a couple of houses, and it glows in the dark too. Ofcourse you want to know how to make these so come on over and take a look at my tutorial!

The base for this mani is Ellagee The Time Vortex, a gorgeous multichrome polish that has all kinds of copper, gold and deep red tones. I made the curse using Serum No. 5 Infrared & Orange You Sunny and I applied them using the one stroke technique.

This picture was taking in half darkness, with the settings of my camera optimized to pick up as much light as possible, so it would pick up the glow effect as well as the rest of the details on the nails.
Because in total darkness, it doesn't look like much :-p But it's still pretty! I can also tell you exactly how to make this, so keep reading!
Apply your base color and let it dry thoroughly. All you need for the curse is a flat brush (I got mine from eBay) and one or two colors of (glow) polish. You dip the corner of the flat brush into the polish that you used for the background, and the other corner into the other (glow) polish. Swipe it along a piece of paper several times to make the gradient, and then you can paint your swirls. It takes some practice but then it's not so hard! If you need more instructions, you can take a look at my tutorial for one stroke nail art basics.

To finish this look, take your detail brush (I'm using my Basic One Gold Detail Brush from Christrio Scotland) and paint some houses at the bottom of your nails. Put some top coat on it and you're done!

I received Serum No. 5 Infrared and Ellagee The Time Vortex as a press sample for an honest review. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.
