Sparkly chevrons & floral nail art

Hey!!! Do you like surprises? Sometimes I'll start on a design and have no idea which way I want it to go. I'll just combine some stuff and see where it lands me. That's how I got these florals on top of some chevrons using Picture Polish & nail vinyls. And ofcourse I have a video tutorial too! Click to see more!

I used Digital Nails Supernova for the base because it's super sparkly, but at that point I didn't really know where I wanted it to go. I decided to use my chevron nail vinyls with Picture Polish Shocked & Shy Violet. They are both jelly polishes so the super sparkliness still shines through, just with a little bit more color!

After this, I had trouble trying to decide how to proceed. I left it sitting for a few hours and just started doodling with some acrylic paint. When the background already has a lot going on, I like to stick to basic black & white. That just made it pop!
It's really not that hard to make. All you need is a silver micro glitter polish, two jelly polishes (any sheer polishes will do), nail vinyls and some acrylic paint. Apply your silver micro glitter and let it dry thoroughly. I put some HK Girl top coat on it to smooth out the glitter.

Apply your nail vinyls and make sure there are no bubbles anywhere. Apply the polish in between the nail vinyls, and quickly remove each vinyl while the polish is still wet. Work one vinyl at a time to make sure the polish doesn't dry before you're done with the vinyls.

Let's continue to the next step! Take some black acrylic paint and paint your arabesques. Make sure not to get too much on your brush or your lines will be too bold, and use a longer brush and let it sweep over the nail naturally to get the best lines. Add some white to the leaves, and when you think it looks good, top coat and you're done!

I received Digital Nails Supernova as a press sample to make nail art with. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.
