Over the tree tops, glow in the dark nail art

Wasn't it about time for some glow in the dark nail art? It's been a while! I'm calling it 'over the treetops' because that's what I went for, the last light disappearing and the night creeping up. Click to see more!

The look was inspired in an unconventional way... I visited Pretty Quirky to look at her mani for the 'N is for New' prompt for the A to Z challenge that's going on now, and I spotted the miniature in the linkup and somehow I saw something different in it than in the big pictures. I saw treetops! And galaxy! And stars! I had my own idea of it, based on what I saw from Morven, and I went to work with it.
You know me, I'll take any chance I can get to make a design glow in the dark! Serum No. 5 Blue Blazes, Laven-daringly Bright & Lights Out and Above The Curve It's Electric! are perfect for this, and applying them over a white base helped make them glow REALLY bright. I love how the sponging made it look like a cloudy sky!

The trees and the stars were freehand with acrylic paint. I could have put more effort in the trees perhaps, but it was meant to be a quick and cute design. People have been asking for simple nail art designs.... sorry, this is as easy as I can go. I happen to love doing detailed nail art designs and that's what makes my heart sing, so I'll keep doing those.

I received Serum No. 5 Lights Out as a press sample for an honest review. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.
