Christmas lights nail art with fiber optics

Finally, I get to post Christmas nail art! And I'm kicking the holiday season off with a blast, one of my crazy crazy nail art designs with fiber optics & flashing lights! You'll want to see this design in action, so click to see more!

The good people from STYLondon were nice enough to send me some of their products to try and their gel polish & awesome UV lamp made this design possible! I used STYLondon Rouge and In My Genes for the lights, as well as PurJoi Lemon Candy.

STYLondon's gel polish is pine based so the first thing I noticed is that it doesn't smell bad like other gels I've tried. It only takes a minute to cure under their LED lamp which is SO convenient! The polish is of a thicker variety and that was a relief for me, because runny gel polish just gets everywhere when I try to work with it :-p
Yeah, fiber optic wires don't make this design wearable... but it's fun! The lights stand out perfectly against the black background, which is piCture pOlish Black by the way. To make the lights, I used a technique I saw from @usti_na but ofcourse I couldn't understand a word of what she wrote because well... I don't speak Russian :-p So it was a bit of trial and error and then this came out of it!

The video tutorial explains more than I can say in words. It has the most annoying music ever though! Hihi!

I received all of the STYLondon polishes and their UV lamp, as well as PurJoi Lemon Candy as a press sample. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.
