Mermaid scales nail art + video tutorial

Hey girls! I've recreated this design from March so I could show you how to make it with a video tutorial! I had a lot of requests for it, so it was about time, don't you think? It's really not very hard. Click to see more!

It turned out to be one of my most popular designs and you gotta admit, it looks pretty cool! For the base, I used Sally Hansen Bling-Tastic and Be-Jeweled. It's some work to make but it's not hard, let me show you!

You need:
- Two colors of super shiny glittery polish
- Black & white acrylic paint
- A detail brush
- Top coat

Apply the first glitter color first, and let that dry properly. Then loosely apply the other color to about 2/3 of the nail, from the tip. When that's dry, do the tip again, but only polish 1/3 now.
Paint the scales as shown in the video. Do them with white first, and make sure that they're smaller at the top of the nail, this will give you a nice 3D effect, like a mermaid's tail.

Then go over it with black but let some of the white show. This way, your scales will get depth and look more real. Apply top coat and you're done!

If you like this, feel free to share it!
