'Imagine' hidden message nail art

How about a freehand landscape, glow in the dark hidden message, AND neat Liquid Palisade trick all rolled into one? This nail art has all of that, and I also made a video tutorial! Click to see more!

I started out with a white base of OPI Alpine Snow and freehanded my little dandelion + landscape using acrylic paint, on a blue gradient of China Glaze Sunday Funday & OPI What's With The Cattitude. I knew I was going to need a light colored base for my glow message to 'pop', because glow in the dark polishes do really well over light colors, especially 'cold' light colors like green and blue, They REALLY pop over white!

I put a top coat over my design (I like to use HK Girl by Glisten&Glow) and then started painting letters using Liquid Palisade. Because this stuff is purple, it was easy to see where I was painting, and the small brush is convenient for thin lines. Just make sure to clean off the part where you want to hold it, or you'll be covered in purple goo :-p

When the Liquid Palisade was dry, I added a coat of Serum No. 5 Budding Lights, quickly removed the Liquid Palisade before the polish was dry, and added another top coat. And lo and behold, a hidden message!

I love, love, LOVE these things that you can't see in the light, but they show up in the dark. This one happens to not be so creepy but I love when they're a bit scary, threatening, and they make the little hairs in your neck stand up. Yay for the creep factor!

I received Serum No. 5 Budding Lights & Kiesque Liquid Palisade as a press sample to make nail art with. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.
