Pink haired mermaid nail art

I wish I had hair like this! And while we're at it, I'd like the tail as well, k tnx ;-)

I don't even remember if I ever painted a mermaid before! 5 years of nail art and I'm starting to lose it XD

She is completely painted with acrylic paint and my Twinkled T Mint Coco brush set, and I added some loose Mermaid Flakies from What's Up Nails to make her tail look scaley and beautiful!

I received the Twinkled T Mint Coco brush set and the What's Up Nails Mermaid Flakies as a press sample. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.

Reciprocal gradient butterfly nail art for Picture Polish Challenge

I don't usually participate in nail art challenges but when I do, it's gotta be a Picture Polish nail art challenge! The theme is 'gradient' so you know the drill ;-)

I went all out with a soft toned reciprocal gradient, using Picture Polish Lakodom & Wisteria. I also incorporated tiny gradients in the flowers and in the wings of the butterfly using Picture Polish Watermelon & Shy Violet, but I don't think the contrast is big enough. I used Picture Polish Bright White for the base & the butterfly.

The only thing that's not Picture Polish in the whole design is the black acrylic paint for the butterfly, and I used one of my new brushes from TwinkledT to paint it!

Parrot Polish Welcome to the Jungle swatches & review

Holy neon do I have something bright for you today! The Parrot Polish Welcome to the Jungle collection is so bright, it will make your corneas hurt! No not really... the camera picks it up badly, so when you see them, dial it up a notch in your mind. A big thanks to Marzipany for putting together this collage, that I am lazily using now!

All pictures are taken on a gloomy day, since that seems to work best for neons. It makes my skin look weird but don't worry, I'm still perfectly healthy and not turning into a zombie (yet)! None of them have a white base, but are painted onto my natural nails. Also, I have to warn you that while these DO glow under a blacklight/UV light, they DO NOT glow in the dark. Turn all your lights off and you'll be stuck trying to find your way back to the switch because your nails can't help ya!

OK now that we have set a baseline, come a little closer and look at these polishes!

Kawaii birthday nail art

It's my friend E's birthday today! I can't go to her party on Saturday so... I made her this nail art design! Happy birthday E! No bunnies this time but I hope you'll like it anyways :-p

My base is the House of Mirrors chrome powder from TwinkledT. This pigment is larger than the other chrome pigments I've tried, so it gives a slightly different outcome. Still very mirror-y (yes that's a word now) and oh... my... this stuff gets EVERYWHERE! I sparkle all over my skin, and it has taken a liking to my phone screen too.

I painted the kawaii birthday treats with acrylic paint and a couple of brushes from the TwinkledT Mint Coco brush set, as well as my trusted Roubloff 00 detail brush from Adnails Manucure. The balloons are Nailfetti! So much fun!

I received the House of Mirrors, Mint Coco brush set & Nailfetti from TwinkledT as a press sample. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.

Blowing hearts nail art for Valentine's Day

Happy almost Valentine's Day! Remember that the most important person to love is yourself <3

I made a really smooth gradient with SuperChic Lacquer Rosebuddy & Trap Queen, they are perfect for eachother!

I painted a silhouette & hearts with black no wipe gel polish, cured it, and then I used Fairy Powder from What's Up Nails. You can see the pink-copper-green shift in the hearts!

I received SuperChic Lacquer Trap Queen & Rosebuddy as a press sample, as well as Fairy Powder from What's Up Nails. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.

Secret love letter nail art for Valentine's Day

This is kind of an anti-Valentine's design, until... the lights go out. Then it's actually pretty sweet!

The base is Serum No. 5 Glowin' of Eden, and it's one of the very brightest polishes I own! It makes the perfect base for this design.

How I did it is... I painted all of the words with white acrylic paint, but went over the smaller words using Artistic Nail Design Rogue Vogue. It has the exact same color as Glowin' of Eden and it blends right in! It took a few coats of top coat to get the end result really smooth, added matte top coat and there you go :-p Secret love letter!

I received Artistic Nail Design Rogue Vogue as a press sample. I bought Serum No. 5 Glowin' of Eden with my own money. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.

Artistic Nail Design Urban Distressed collection swatches & review

February is the month of luuuuvvvv and these soft shades play right into that! They are the Artistic Nail Design Urban Distressed collection, and while the theme may not be all that lovey dovey, they do strike a soft spot in my heart <3

All of these polishes have the sweetest softest shimmer. Not the in-your-face kind of shimmer but a soft gleam that is barely noticeable in normal lighting but adds extra shine & depth. I've also taken photos in the sun to make the shimmer come out and play! Let's get starrrrrrted!!
