Glow in the dark neon fire

Hi girls! I haven't been on the computer much, it's been SO HOT around here, like walking around in an oven! We haven't had a heat wave since 2006 but you can call it a full blown heat tsunami now. We're Dutch people, we're not used to this kind of weather. I'm melting!!!

Painting my nails is a disaster with this humidity, my polish won't dry for one little bit and there are bubbles everywhere. Too bad, because now I'd rather not show you those pics. That's why I have one from the vault!

This here is something I made a while back. The polishes are brandless and nameless, I got a bunch of them off eBay for next to nothing. Two coats of Essie underneath and everything is hand painted with a striper.

Glow in the dark! It really looks like fire, don't you just love it?

My shopping experiences with different online stores

Hey girls! I've been thinking about writing a post like this for a while now, mostly because I like to read  about other people's experiences with different e-tailers, so I can learn from it and maybe spare myself some heartache. I'm also working on a post about shops in the Netherlands (some of which will ship internationally) so that'll be up soon too!

I also think that indies and other shops that do their job well and communicate with their customers, should be acknowledged as good brands and get some free extra publicity. On the other hand, brands that fail their customers, sell hack products or never reply to a single freaking email, should also be named.

The shops I have reviewed for you are Different Dimension, Polish Me To Go, Girly Bits, Sweet Heart Polish, Llarowe, Spectraflair4U, Nailz Craze, Bundle Monster, Cheeky Beauty, Born Pretty Store and eBay.

Fimo flowers on holo background

Hiya girls! Today I have some nail art for you, but it's from a while back (see, my nails are shorter).

The flowers are fimo slices, I love these so much! They can make your mani chique or playful in a jiffy without too much effort. Just stick them on and topcoat the hell out of 'em.

These slices are a little bit on the thick side, I hadn't quite figured out how to slice them just right.

The holo background really gives this mani a kick! Too bad I don't have pictures in the sunlight, you can blame the long winter.

Striped nail art without using a fan brush

Hey girls! I want to show you some really cool nail art I did a while back. I've seen examples of striped manis using a fan brush, but they never turn out quite the way I like them. I'm in love with this one though!

This design was so much work... I think I used over 15 different polishes! Every single line was hand painted by me, and yes, I did this on both hands *deep sigh* But it looks amazing, don't you think?
