Boardwalk nail art

I feel so board, I'm a boardwalk! OK let's just pretend that was a good pun :-p

I was in the mood for some hand painted landscape nail art but didn't really have 8 hours to spare (sorryyyy!!!). So this is my compromise!

It's completely painted with acrylic paint and my Roubloff 00 detail brush that I bought from Adnails Manucure. I complimented the design with Picture Polish Ocean on the other nails. Get it... Ocean... perfect fit!

Stained glass mermaid nail art

Nothing 'fishy' about this, just plain ol' glitter!!

This was so easy to make you'll pee your pants. All I did was make a base of Twinkled T Holocopter loose glitters, paint a pattern on it using acrylic paint aaaaand colored it all in using markers (containing alcohol ink)! That's all!
I really, really, REALLY liked just coloring in the design, it felt so easy and enjoyable like being a little kid again! I got my markers from Action, a store here in the Netherlands. They strongly remind me of the Copic markers I used to have for my graphic design studies.

Showbiz bee nail art

There ain't no bee-znis like showbee-znis! This bee is just such a sucker for attention :-p

The shape of these Twinkled T Holo at Me hex glitters reminds me of a honeycomb pattern, so naturally I *had* to try it! I've done bees a couple of times before though so this had to be something unusual, something funky. Mission: achieved!

I placed the Twinkled T glitters on a wet gel top coat using my Winstonia Fine Lines brush and after curing, I added the orange lines. This makes it look like the honeycombs are 3D ;-)
The bee is completely freehand. Yup, surprised me a little bit too. I really thought this while design was going to look like crap but I have to say I kinda like it!

Son of a beach nail art

What the shell? What did this beach make on her nails now?? It's SUMMER and I have the nail art to prove it!

I started out with P2 Cosmetics Precious as the textured base. I got this polish as a gift from my sweetest friend Lucrezia from Let's Play a Nail Game <3 I once did a guest post on her blog (before I found out what an awesome person she is) and this design strongly reminds me of it!

I used 3D gel from Madam Glam called 'Sugar' (use my code NAR30 for 30% off! Not an affiliate code) to make the sea star & shells, and painted them with acrylic paint. I added sea with Takko Lacquer Alexandrite that I got from Color4Nails and it's perfect, because it allowed me to build up the color like actual waves! I added some white acrylic paint for the foam et voilá!

Diamonds in the rough nail art

I... really don't know where I was going with this design, other than the technique I wanted to try for the base. And it worked! It reminds me of a shirt I had when I was a teen.

I started with a white base of Glisten & Glow Wedding Gown White and made the background pattern by applying striping tape from Winstonia Store. I applied some drops of Serum No. 5 nail polish to TwinkledT's XL Clear Stamper, and smooshed it on top of the tape! Removed the tape, et voilá ;-)

From there, I kind of got stuck on how to continue... Eventually I went for something minimal that wouldn't cover up the background. I also added some drops of clear 3D gel just for kicks!
The Serum No. 5 polishes I used are Atomic Peach, Yes She Can (from the new Empowered collection), Raspberry Delight, Awesome Blossom and Wisteriaously Bright. They all glow in the dark too! Ahhhh!!!

Hot flamin' flamingo nail art

Press sample

My mom told me to stop impersonating a flamingo, so I had to put my foot down :-p

My coral colored base is the lovely MooMoo's Signatures Coral Peony, from the Rainbow Flowers Bath collection. I painted the flamingo & leaves with acrylic paint and the white base on my accent nail is Glisten & Glow Wedding Gown White.

Is it weird that I like the leaves better than the flamingo? I was going for a 'loosely sketched' look but now it just looks unfinished XD

Glitter overdose nail art

C'mon... you know you want to... all the cool kids are doin' it ;-) I'm talking about GLITTER, BABY!

Yassss!!! I used a bunch of loose holographic glitters from Twinkled T, aptly named Holowood Hills, Holondaise Sauce, Holoday Inn, Tealquila & Holobae. Gotta love the genius behind those names ;-) I applied them onto the tacky layer of a cured gel top coat, easy peasy!
I painted the black with good ol' acrylic paint, *before* adding the glitter. The whole look was inspired by a really cool body glitter/dress by @gogetglitter. Seriously, check them out. They have the weirdest, coolest body glitter pics!

It looks kind of strange on nails but also really cool in a way? I think? I'm still getting used to it :-p

I received all of the glitters from Twinkled T as a press sample. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.

3D flip flop nail art

Haaaaaappy random Tuesday! Or maybe it's the 4th of July where you are, I don't know.... :-p Every summer day is a good day to celebrate though!

Sometimes I just get the sudden urge to make impractical, but super fun, nails! I used a base of P2 Cosmetics Precious that I got as a super sweet gift from a friend <3 Beach time!

The white things are made with some glossy paper, photo quality, very sturdy. I also used some liquid latex from Edge Perfection to make the gradient, but THAT you will see in my tutorial tomorrow! Be sure to follow me on Instagram so you don't miss it!
I used Parrot Polish Gecko Green, Pit Viper Yellow & Orangutan Orange for the flip flops, and they glow under UV light! Note: they do not glow in the dark. Turn off all the lights and it's dark. But under a black light, it's party time!!!

Royal peacock nail art

I was lucky enough to see a male peacock from up close recently... a little *too* close, I had to step aside while he shook his feathers and ran after his ladyfriend!

My greyish-with-a-purple-gleam base polish is A England Carnation Lily Lily Rose that I got from Color4Nails. It's the perfect backdrop for my peacock! I painted him with acrylic paint and added a twist with some Moyra Glitter Shine powder no. 26, which is a really fine royal blue glitter that I got from Nailland Hungary.

I was hesitant at first and took pictures before adding the glitter, but it was SO worth it because it adds so much depth and sparkle to my peacock!
