Fuzzy animal print nail art

Aaaaahahaha this has me giggling!! And it's totally hand washing safe ;-)

I used acrylic paint to lay down the basic design of the prints in the right colors. Then I went over the prints with a gel top coat, sprinkled flocking powder on top and cured it under a UV light. then all that's left is removing the excess and voila!

It feels a bit weird at first, bristly, but you get used to it fast and it holds up nicely during daily wear :) Plus I giggle every time I look at my hands!

Fish in space nail art

Fish. In. Spaaaaace! Did you know that fish actually really like to explore the unknown? They are so sofishticated!

The absolutely gorgeous base polish is Emily de Molly Too Many Moves that I got from Color4Nails. The shift is amazing!

On top, I sponged some SuperChic Lacquer 40 Winks, Cherub & Dopamine. They really add the sparkle to the galaxy base, I love it :D
I painted the design with acrylic paint. I spent a lot of time adding more different shades of the same color scheme, trying to give the fish depth and texture.

Like 'em? They are available as earrings in my shop right now! I offer free shipping to anywhere in the world ;-)

I received all of the polishes in this article as a press sample. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.

Ooh foxy nail art

Arrrgggghhhh isn't this little guy so ssshhhexy! Or should I say.... foxy?

SuperChic Lacquer Wonderwall & Rum-Billie make up the gorgeous gradient together. I painted the foxy with acrylic paint.

I top coated, took pictures, looked at him again.... And added an eye patch! Now he's a pirate fox! Aarrgghh!!!

Autumn Applejack nail art

I can't find the right words... What do you say about a design you've worked on for hours? What pun would be funny enough to convince people to pleeeeeease enjoy what you've made?

It's all painted with acrylic paint and a ridiculously tiny brush. And yes, it does in fact have more than three bristles :-p When the nails are viewed from up close like this, you can see all the squigglies and mistakes. But when you zoom out.... it's like magic!

Oh deer! nail art

I'm so fawn'd of this design!!! For real doe, I love it deerly :D

The scrumptious background gradient is made with SuperChic Lacquer Wonderwall & Awesome-Sauce. I have @annabean1983 to thank for the design, because she posted a picture of a mug once and it just stuck with me. I HAD to paint it!!

The antlers turned out exactly right the first try at painting them. Bam. Done. The face was more of a challenge but I grew closer to this buck the more time I spent on him!

Crabby nail art

Why am I feeling crabby?? I have to stop being so shellfish. Ghehehehehe XD

I used the gorgeous Picture Polish Clouds (I got this from Color4Nails) as a base and put some What's Up Nails Sapphire Confetti (round glitter, yay!) on top of that with the help of my Masura Vitamin Top gel top coat.

I painted a crab and some of his living environment with acrylic paint, then finished it off with a matte top coat. I think it's so cute and colorful, it can go straight into a kid's room!

Swimming dog nail art

Rrrrrrruf! Here's a funky little Jack Russel barking at you from the swimming pool!

He's just floating around in his inner tube, relaxing and enjoying the sun <3

I made a cooooool base using Picture Polish Surf and Mermaid that I got from Color4Nails. On top of that, I painted my doggy with acrylic paint!

Hot flamin' flamingo nail art

Press sample

My mom told me to stop impersonating a flamingo, so I had to put my foot down :-p

My coral colored base is the lovely MooMoo's Signatures Coral Peony, from the Rainbow Flowers Bath collection. I painted the flamingo & leaves with acrylic paint and the white base on my accent nail is Glisten & Glow Wedding Gown White.

Is it weird that I like the leaves better than the flamingo? I was going for a 'loosely sketched' look but now it just looks unfinished XD

Royal peacock nail art

I was lucky enough to see a male peacock from up close recently... a little *too* close, I had to step aside while he shook his feathers and ran after his ladyfriend!

My greyish-with-a-purple-gleam base polish is A England Carnation Lily Lily Rose that I got from Color4Nails. It's the perfect backdrop for my peacock! I painted him with acrylic paint and added a twist with some Moyra Glitter Shine powder no. 26, which is a really fine royal blue glitter that I got from Nailland Hungary.

I was hesitant at first and took pictures before adding the glitter, but it was SO worth it because it adds so much depth and sparkle to my peacock!

Little panda nail art

This panda was a quickie, I only had an hour before leaving for to the zoo. I had an awesome day, and sore feet! XD

This delicious holo base polish is SuperChic Lacquer Awkward Turtle, but there is nothing awkward about it <3 Just heavenly holo and a deep olive shade!

The panda was painted with acrylic paint from Gamax, and my Roubloff 00 detail brush from Adnails Manucure. I had to add the bamboo after coming home, it was nice and relaxing :)

Ice cream eating piglet nail art

Nail gods almighty, this weather!!! Temperatures hit 35C today, which I believe is the official melting point for Dutch people! It *is* the perfect excuse for delicious creamy homemade ice cream though, like this piglet is enjoying! What's your favorite flavor?

I used KB Shimmer Keep Palm and Carry On for the base, that I got from Color4Nails. I also added some P2 Opulent on the top half and this one was a gift from my sweetest gal friend @lu_letsplayanailgame

I painted the piglet with acrylic paint but I'm not sure if the ice cream is actually recognisable as ice cream. Hmm well, as long as it tastes good, right? ;-)

Shellfish nail art

These nails are so shellfish! Why clam't they just get along? XD

I made a smooshy base using Serum No. 5 Laven-daringly Bright & Blue Blazes as well as Picture Polish Instinct & Tingle. I'll post a tutorial on my Instagram tomorrow to show how I did it!

I painted the shellfish with acrylic paint and my Winstonia Fine Lines & Berry Wine brushes.
The gloooow!! I used Serum No. 5 Laven-daringly Bright and Blue Blazes for the shells too, with the addition of Glowin' of Eden. I also used Atomic Peach for the soft squishy part of the clams, and Guiding Light for the eyes (because I couldn't just leave them dark). Laven-daringly Bright is a bit on the softer side of the glow spectrum, while the others do a really bright job!! They are the brightest glows I've ever seen!

Wedding monarch nail art

Today's post is a special one, because my friend Marlein is getting married tomorrow! I want to wish her and her hubby-to-be an awesome life together :D

The base is KB Shimmer Saved by the Shell that I got from Color4Nails, and I wasn't sure if I would like the color. At first I didn't like it on its own, but it compliments the design perfectly and doesn't overpower it :)

I painted the monarch butterfly using acrylic paint and my new Gamax 00 Kolinsky brush that I got from my awesome friend @lu_letsplayanailgame! The golden rings were made by first painting them with Madam Glam Perfect Black, and then applying some Gold Bullion powder over it from Mitty.

Spring beehive nail art

I am SO done with winter and ready for spring! It's already staying light until after dinner and getting slightly warmer so these nails, inspired by @blueberrynail, are my tribute to that!

I have a thing with bees & bumblebees. They are gorgeous, have you ever examined them from up close? How they even work is still magic to me!

All is hand painted with acrylic paint, and I used both my Winstonia Fine Lines brushes as well as my Roubloff 00 detail brush from Adnails Manucure. They are a killer combo for smooth transitions and tiny details!
My base is SuperChic Lacquer Dopamine, a delicious holo that works perfectly as a blue sky! I especially love how it makes that pink flower stand out <3

This nail art is part of a mani swap I did with the lovely @blueberrynail. She chose to recreate my UFOs from outer space, and she did an AWESOME job! Go check it out!
