Patronus nail art

My mom and I are playing Lego Harry Potter on the Wii, and yes, my mom is super cool like that :-p The other day I was just kind of doodling on my nails, and a Patronus appeared! I added glow in the dark effects for kicks ;-)

I used a variety of Serum No. 5 polishes to draw the moon, the Patronus, and the.... I don't know what they are. Star speckles? I used Serum No. 5 Solar Power, Atomic Peach, Awesome Blossom, Raspberry Delight, and Guiding Lights.

The base is Artistic Nail Design No Taming My Twinkle and it's the perfect base for a starry night. It's also gorgeous on its own, as you can see in last year's review.

Also, don't forget about the Black Friday sale still going on for the rest of the weekend! You get 40% off of EVERYTHING in my shop, there's free worldwide shipping, and a lil' something extra in your package. You don't need a code, just throw stuff in your cart and enjoy!

I received Artistic Nail Design No Taming My Twinkle, as well as Serum No. 5 Raspberry Delight and Guiding Lights as a press sample. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.

Diamonds in the rough nail art

I... really don't know where I was going with this design, other than the technique I wanted to try for the base. And it worked! It reminds me of a shirt I had when I was a teen.

I started with a white base of Glisten & Glow Wedding Gown White and made the background pattern by applying striping tape from Winstonia Store. I applied some drops of Serum No. 5 nail polish to TwinkledT's XL Clear Stamper, and smooshed it on top of the tape! Removed the tape, et voilá ;-)

From there, I kind of got stuck on how to continue... Eventually I went for something minimal that wouldn't cover up the background. I also added some drops of clear 3D gel just for kicks!
The Serum No. 5 polishes I used are Atomic Peach, Yes She Can (from the new Empowered collection), Raspberry Delight, Awesome Blossom and Wisteriaously Bright. They all glow in the dark too! Ahhhh!!!

Shellfish nail art

These nails are so shellfish! Why clam't they just get along? XD

I made a smooshy base using Serum No. 5 Laven-daringly Bright & Blue Blazes as well as Picture Polish Instinct & Tingle. I'll post a tutorial on my Instagram tomorrow to show how I did it!

I painted the shellfish with acrylic paint and my Winstonia Fine Lines & Berry Wine brushes.
The gloooow!! I used Serum No. 5 Laven-daringly Bright and Blue Blazes for the shells too, with the addition of Glowin' of Eden. I also used Atomic Peach for the soft squishy part of the clams, and Guiding Light for the eyes (because I couldn't just leave them dark). Laven-daringly Bright is a bit on the softer side of the glow spectrum, while the others do a really bright job!! They are the brightest glows I've ever seen!

Pensive sunset nail art (glow in the dark)

I could say a lot about this nail art and what the imagery represents, but I think it's better if each of you finds their own meaning in it.... How's that for deep :-p

I used Madam Glam Jungle Beat for the outer two nails, and this is NOT a glow in the dark polish but I used some glow pigment on top of it. The pigment added texture and helped me to press a pattern into it. A tutorial will be up on my Instagram account soon!

The base gradient is made with Serum No. 5 Glo-balt Blue, Blue Blazes and Day Glow. It's gorgeous and they uhh... well, they glow! As if that wasn't obvious :-p These are my favorite glow polishes in the WHOLE world!!
I added the landscape painting using acrylic paint, the tiny details were really tough to paint and I was impatient so... there you have it. I love the watercolor look of the ground!

Glow constellations nail art

It's written in the stars! Which constellations can you recognize in this nail art design?

LOOK at that shift!!! The base is made with Galaxy Flakies from What's Up Nails and they are gorgeous!! There is *one* downside to this product and that is that the flakies fly everywhere. And then get stuck on stuff. It makes a mess but at least the mess is pretty!
Aaaaand you can look at the stars in your bed even from under the blankets! I painted the stars with Serum No. 5 Guiding Light, and added the constellations with Budding Lights. The constellations were supposed to be invisible, and then glow when the lights went out, but... sometimes stuff just doesn't work exactly the way you envision it!

Secret love letter nail art for Valentine's Day

This is kind of an anti-Valentine's design, until... the lights go out. Then it's actually pretty sweet!

The base is Serum No. 5 Glowin' of Eden, and it's one of the very brightest polishes I own! It makes the perfect base for this design.

How I did it is... I painted all of the words with white acrylic paint, but went over the smaller words using Artistic Nail Design Rogue Vogue. It has the exact same color as Glowin' of Eden and it blends right in! It took a few coats of top coat to get the end result really smooth, added matte top coat and there you go :-p Secret love letter!

I received Artistic Nail Design Rogue Vogue as a press sample. I bought Serum No. 5 Glowin' of Eden with my own money. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.

Lovebugs nail art for Valentine's Day

They're lovebugs!!! Little fluffy creatures that you just wanna hug <3 <3 <3

OK you already knew about my crazy mind... so this won't be such a shock to you. I think they're perfect for this time of year! Or any time, really ;-)

They're made of little fluffy balls that I found in the craft room (I think they're called pompoms), and to see how exactly, you'll have to wait for the tutorial! It will be posted tomorrow on my Instagram, so be sure to follow me to keep up to date!
Love bugs wouldn't be lovebugs if they didn't glow in the dark! I used some Serum No. 5 Budding Lights on the hearts of the antennae, and the other two peach glowing nails are Different Dimension Give Me Love.

GAH they are so cute! I just wanna pet them!

New video! Parrot Polish Welcome to the Jungle

I've always been a glow junkie, both glow in the dark and glow under UV. Regarding the latter.... well.... just watch the video ;-)

Like what you see? They're available from ParrotPolish.comNote that these polishes do NOT glow in the dark, only while they're exposed to a black light/UV light. I used UV lights to record the video.

Aaaaaand we have a little bonus, too!

I received all of the polishes in this article as a press sample. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.
