Crabby nail art

Why am I feeling crabby?? I have to stop being so shellfish. Ghehehehehe XD

I used the gorgeous Picture Polish Clouds (I got this from Color4Nails) as a base and put some What's Up Nails Sapphire Confetti (round glitter, yay!) on top of that with the help of my Masura Vitamin Top gel top coat.

I painted a crab and some of his living environment with acrylic paint, then finished it off with a matte top coat. I think it's so cute and colorful, it can go straight into a kid's room!

I received Picture Polish Surf & What's Up Nails Sapphire Confetti as a press sample. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.

Swimming dog nail art

Rrrrrrruf! Here's a funky little Jack Russel barking at you from the swimming pool!

He's just floating around in his inner tube, relaxing and enjoying the sun <3

I made a cooooool base using Picture Polish Surf and Mermaid that I got from Color4Nails. On top of that, I painted my doggy with acrylic paint!

Juicy watermelon nail art

It's juicy. It's delicious. It's.... watermelon!!!

Another summer symbol for me :) I used MooMoo's Signatures Blushing Akito, Bells of Ireland & Seafoam Daisy for this delicious watermelon design. I also used black & white acrylic paint for the seeds, some green paint for the outside of the watermelon and Young Nails clear 3D sculpting gel to add the juice!

This one is SO bright and perfect for summer!

Boardwalk nail art

I feel so board, I'm a boardwalk! OK let's just pretend that was a good pun :-p

I was in the mood for some hand painted landscape nail art but didn't really have 8 hours to spare (sorryyyy!!!). So this is my compromise!

It's completely painted with acrylic paint and my Roubloff 00 detail brush that I bought from Adnails Manucure. I complimented the design with Picture Polish Ocean on the other nails. Get it... Ocean... perfect fit!

Son of a beach nail art

What the shell? What did this beach make on her nails now?? It's SUMMER and I have the nail art to prove it!

I started out with P2 Cosmetics Precious as the textured base. I got this polish as a gift from my sweetest friend Lucrezia from Let's Play a Nail Game <3 I once did a guest post on her blog (before I found out what an awesome person she is) and this design strongly reminds me of it!

I used 3D gel from Madam Glam called 'Sugar' (use my code NAR30 for 30% off! Not an affiliate code) to make the sea star & shells, and painted them with acrylic paint. I added sea with Takko Lacquer Alexandrite that I got from Color4Nails and it's perfect, because it allowed me to build up the color like actual waves! I added some white acrylic paint for the foam et voilá!

Hot flamin' flamingo nail art

Press sample

My mom told me to stop impersonating a flamingo, so I had to put my foot down :-p

My coral colored base is the lovely MooMoo's Signatures Coral Peony, from the Rainbow Flowers Bath collection. I painted the flamingo & leaves with acrylic paint and the white base on my accent nail is Glisten & Glow Wedding Gown White.

Is it weird that I like the leaves better than the flamingo? I was going for a 'loosely sketched' look but now it just looks unfinished XD

3D flip flop nail art

Haaaaaappy random Tuesday! Or maybe it's the 4th of July where you are, I don't know.... :-p Every summer day is a good day to celebrate though!

Sometimes I just get the sudden urge to make impractical, but super fun, nails! I used a base of P2 Cosmetics Precious that I got as a super sweet gift from a friend <3 Beach time!

The white things are made with some glossy paper, photo quality, very sturdy. I also used some liquid latex from Edge Perfection to make the gradient, but THAT you will see in my tutorial tomorrow! Be sure to follow me on Instagram so you don't miss it!
I used Parrot Polish Gecko Green, Pit Viper Yellow & Orangutan Orange for the flip flops, and they glow under UV light! Note: they do not glow in the dark. Turn off all the lights and it's dark. But under a black light, it's party time!!!

Ice cream eating piglet nail art

Nail gods almighty, this weather!!! Temperatures hit 35C today, which I believe is the official melting point for Dutch people! It *is* the perfect excuse for delicious creamy homemade ice cream though, like this piglet is enjoying! What's your favorite flavor?

I used KB Shimmer Keep Palm and Carry On for the base, that I got from Color4Nails. I also added some P2 Opulent on the top half and this one was a gift from my sweetest gal friend @lu_letsplayanailgame

I painted the piglet with acrylic paint but I'm not sure if the ice cream is actually recognisable as ice cream. Hmm well, as long as it tastes good, right? ;-)

Negative space airplane nail art

This design.... did not turn out like I'd hoped. But I decided to share it anyways in the hopes that maybe it will inspire someone to improve upon it! And the video tutorial turned out better, somehow more balanced, so that redeems it a little bit :-p

The base polish is and will forever be gorgeous, it's SuperChic Lacquer Dopamine. I made the negative space effect with a new liquid latex brand I'm trying out, called Edge Perfection. So far I can tell you that it feels sturdier somehow, even a thin coat doesn't snap/break during removal, and it's lightly scented but not overwhelmingly so :)

The clouds & airplane are made with acrylic paint because... what else? ;-)

I think the heat is throwing me off my nail art game! Holding the brush just gets harder as the temperature rises :-p Maybe I should do some art that somehow uses the heat to my advantage!

Shellfish nail art

These nails are so shellfish! Why clam't they just get along? XD

I made a smooshy base using Serum No. 5 Laven-daringly Bright & Blue Blazes as well as Picture Polish Instinct & Tingle. I'll post a tutorial on my Instagram tomorrow to show how I did it!

I painted the shellfish with acrylic paint and my Winstonia Fine Lines & Berry Wine brushes.
The gloooow!! I used Serum No. 5 Laven-daringly Bright and Blue Blazes for the shells too, with the addition of Glowin' of Eden. I also used Atomic Peach for the soft squishy part of the clams, and Guiding Light for the eyes (because I couldn't just leave them dark). Laven-daringly Bright is a bit on the softer side of the glow spectrum, while the others do a really bright job!! They are the brightest glows I've ever seen!

Archipelago (group of islands) nail art

Babes, I'm baaaack! I hope you all had (or are still having) a wonderful vacation! For that true summer vacation feeling, I made an archipelago, which is a group of islands. I added a little plane for fun :)

The base for this design is Picture Polish Instinct (which is really hard to photograph) and I added all the details with acrylic paint. I used a sponge, my fingers, and a brush to paint. Tadaa!

Soft neon geometric nail art

How adorable are these colors :-p I showed it to the maker of Parrot Polish (the nail polish I used) and he said, and I quote: "Me likey" haha! For me it looks a little basic, I'm used to painting more detailed nail art, but it was very enjoyable to paint :) Click to see more!

Tropical beach at sunset nail art (glow in the dark) + video tutorial

Hiyaaa!!!! How much do you love glow in the dark polish? Because I'm a SUCKER for it, and I have new toys to play with :-p Serum No. 5 recently became available at Hypnotic Polish, an indies stockist here in the Netherlands. Needless to say, I went a little overboard... And so these tropical nails were born :D Come check out the video tutorial!
