Good stuff from Tip Top Nails South Africa!

Heyaa!! I have some gooood stuff to share with you. Coming all the way from South Africa, Tip Top Nails brings us fresh nail polish colors that are... *drumroll* very opaque! Yeap, that's what surprised me about these four. So click to see my swatches and read the review!

So the thing that might be a bit confusing about this brand is: where can you buy it?! I inquired about it for you guys and there's no way to order on the website. Instead, if you see something you like, send an email to info@tiptopnails.co.za and let them know what you're interested in. You can also follow them on Facebook!

Tip Top Nails is a vegan brand and their polishes are all big 4-free (meaning no toluene, formaldehyde, DBP or camphor.

Let's look at the polishes!

In The Navy!

Ahhhh I love how this polish makes my skin look! A lovely vampiric shade :D This is a creme polish with a navy tone, but it leans towards black to my eyes. In fact, in some lighting this really does look like black! I don't mind because I happen to love dark blue :D
In The Navy is smooth, self leveling and just plain gorgeous. This is number 974 on the website. Drying time was pretty decent and...
...okay, are you sitting down? This is the thing.... this is ONE COAT!!! This polish is SO opaque that I had no more visible nail line after one thin coat, and I checked, checked again, held it up at the light but nothing! Truly opaque.
Added bonus: it matches my sweater perfectly! Don't you just love that?
Surfer Girl

This is a fun, light purple polish with a pinkish shimmer that I actually kinda really like! I think Surfer Girl would look great on a tan, thus honoring her name :D
Ahhhh see? Beautiful shimmer! This stuff went on like a dream, I used two thin, easy coats and it's very self leveling so I didn't have to do anything to get this smooth result.
It's number 915 on the website.
Sherbet Angel

I LOVE this color. There. I said it. I've always been a sucker for pink and I guess I still am. I'm allowed to, I'm a girl!

Sherbet Angel is a creme pink polish, the straight up bright Barbie pink that you want aaaallll over your walls. You don't? Well I wouldn't mind!
This color is no. 917 on the website. It's very opaque, like the others, and I managed this result with two thin coats but you could get is with one slightly thicker coat as well. All of these polishes need a little more time to dry but this also means that they are easy to apply, because the polish doesn't dry while you're working. And the opacity means you don't need a lot of coats, so you're still done before you know it!
I've already used this polish in some nail art because come on, it's the perfect color! And with this opacity, you can use it for a lot of fun nail art ideas :D
Flamenco Pink

This is a red polish with a slight golden-ish shimmer. It's more visible in the bottle though, on the nail it gives a nice sheen but it's not so golden that you feel all 'bling bling' 'n stuff. I'm not a fan of red... I know I've mentioned that before but it's true!
See? Slight shimmer, but in a nice way :D The coverage of this polish was a liiiiittle bit less than the other ones. I used two thin coats but as you see on the previous photo, another coat would have hidden my visible nail line even more. This is number 979 on the website.

I'm really sad that it's so hard to order this brand. A webshop and some swatch pics would make it so much easier to get your hands on some bottles! Their 10ml bottles are 39,99 ZAR (that's South African Rand) per bottle and shipping comes up to 300 ZAR worldwide.

To be honest, I don't think I would order this way. I'm someone who's easily pressured into buying stuff once I've made contact with a customer rep. I would feel bad to let them know the price was too high for me, and instead just buy.

I received all of the Tip Top Nails polishes in this article as a press sample for an honest review. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.
