The Nail Fail Files - second episode

Hi ladies! We all have those nail art designs at times that just don't work out. Or you do everything right, and still something is 'off'. Exactly that is what these installments of The Nail Fail Files are about! These are all designs that didn't quite 'have' it, and didn't make it to the blog for various reasons. Read and enjoy!

What is this? A kid's drawing? I don't like it. I was trying to be artistic but it faaiiiled. The hearts/leaves look like poisonous tentacles, and the rhinestones just make the whole design worse :-p

I think I did these back in April for Autism Awareness.... so glad I never posted them! The funny thing is that I still remember what TV show I was watching while I was painting these!
These were supposed to be color blocking. But the colors don't work together, the middle white part looks weird and I used the plastic bag technique, so some parts are too thick because of all the layers on top of eachother. And some parts smudged because of the top coat. Ugh!
Yaaaay a one stroke fail! We hadn't seen one of those yet! Believe me, I have more of these. But I'm sharing this one first, because it's such an epic and funny fail. I believe this was my first one stroke mani, and it turned out to be a fail. Talk about your motivation to do better, haha!

See the rose-like-thing on the accent nail? Yeah... not a rose... I still need to practice this by the way. I don't even know what the other things are.
Okay this isn't really a fail. But it's not totally stunning either. Not that all of the designs I share are gorgeous, but this one just had a... I don't know.... I felt weird about it. So I never shared. I don't do stamping much anymore so maybe that's it.

My self esteem is low and my expectations of myself are high. But isn't that the basis of a good artist? I push myself to do better because I never feel like I'm there yet. I just wanted to show you guys that I'm nowhere near perfect and I still have a long way to go & a lot to learn. But if you're truly passionate about nail art, and you keep practicing, you'll get there!

Oh and if you liked this, then be sure to check out the first installment as well!
