Wikkid Polish swatches & review

Making a sparkly, shiny debut on my blog, please welcome Wikkid Polish! It's my immense pleasure to feature one of the UK's finest indies, whose 'pourn' (not as dirty as it sounds) has gone viral before on Insider, Marie Claire and other large social media outlets. It really is the nail polish of your dreams, so let's jump right in!

Holy Tikka Masala! Can you say 'shiny'? This fiery red beauty with golden shimmer can light up a room with her flames. The shimmer is more pronounced in the bottle, and adds a classy depth when applied to nails. I used a glossy top coat to bring it out even more.
Oh and this is ONE COAT! Not even a thick one. Not through manipulating application. Just easy peasy one coat no visible nail line awesomeness!

Just like I need air to breathe, I need Air to polish. It's so versatile, this multichrome flake packed polish would look good over any color! I tried it out over my bare nails for a lovely soft wedding type look. This is just one coat of Air without a base, it's really PACKED with these micro flakies! It was really easy to spread them evenly over the nail, as you can see. No bare patches or clunky messes ;-)

Can you believe these next few pictures are THE SAME POLISH? I'm showing you one coat of Air over black, and this really brings out the color shift. It's amazing to me how a different base color can change the look so completely! Even my camera had trouble focusing sometimes :-p

Ice Ice Baby… Dun dun dun dun da da dum dum. I can't help but hear that song whenever I think of this polish! It's true that she's an icy blue, but with a warm heart. Conservative on the outside but a total freak when a bright light hits those sparkly holo particles! I used two coats that went on so smoothly, so easily, that I wanted to do it again, and again, and again. Hands up if you have the song playing in your head now too! Ice, Ice, Baby!

Crushed Graphite is... my dream come true. For real. I've played around with loose holographic flakies before and they are gorgeous, but to have them incorporated into a polish is SO convenient! And breathtaking! The base they're in is tinted black and so it's like a jelly in 2 - 3 coats over bare nails, or a perfectly sparkly single coat over a colored base. I did 2 coats over bare nails and I can only see some bald patches when I take a really close look. Keep in mind that this polish dries to a pretty rough finish, so you'll need a really good top coat, or a UV top coat to smooth it out. If you're a tip capper (meaning you swipe the edges of your nails with some polish), you might want to leave out that step.

Crazy stuff, this one. Like diamonds.

OK that was it for today! Wikkid Polish is based in the UK but can ship to Europe too (surprisingly fast!), and is available in the US and Canada through Beautometry. You can also find the brand on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and ofcourse your dreams ;-)

I received all of the polishes in this article as a press sample. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.
