The power of Autism

I promised you I'd be back with some of the upsides to my Autism, and I brought along some corresponding nail art! I have a few 'super powers' as I like to call them. I see things differently, because my brain processes and stores information differently from 'normal' people. Most of the time it just makes me seem weird, my kind of humor is way different, but at times it's also very convenient, like when I think of new nail ideas that you all enjoy :) Click to see more!

Like I mentioned before, being autistic isn't all fun and games (well duhh) but it's not all bad either. It's hard to see what parts of me belong to my personality and what parts are determined by autism, but I *think* I have the following traits because of what people call a disability:

I have a super memory! I can remember strings of numbers, foreign lyrics that don't mean anything to me, and useless facts about how many time an average person spends on the phone. Oh and my dad uses me to 'store' order numbers when he needs to have them at hand. Thanks, dad.

Also, I pick up stuff quickly, like languages, skills and routines, but I count that under the memory thing.
I am very detail oriented, and I like precise work. You'll hear that a lot about people with autism. I like rules and I stick to them, but I also expect other people to as well.

I ROCK at spelling & grammar! This is partly the memory thing and partly the detail thing, but I count it as a separate 'autism super power'.

The last one I'll leave you with is: I have a vivid visual imagination. I call it my '3D studio' in which I can design something I want to make, but with an imaginary click, I can change the color, material, see how that material will withstand whatever I want to do with it, etc. It's hard to explain, but it comes in handy!

That GORGEOUS blue holo is SuperChic Lacquer Lucid LaLa Land and the accent nail is completely hand painted with acrylic paint (the background too) and my Roubloff 00 detail brush.

I received SuperChic Lacquer Lucid LaLa Land as a press sample. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.
