Exploding planet nail art

Ello ello! Today's nail art was supposed to be pretty different, and by different I mean better. But I want to share it anyways, even if it's just to show off this gorgeous polish that is my base! It's Digital Nails Serenity, and this polish is glitter & multichrome rolled into one. It's amazing! Click to see more!

Serenity, for those of you who aren't raging Joss Whedon fans, is the name of the spaceship in the TV series Firefly (and the sequel movie Serenity). Its captain is the ever scrumptious Nathan Fillion so naturally I was hooked, and devastated to find out there would only be one season! I'm also a huuuuuge Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan so if any of you ever want to chat about that, shoot me a FB message :D

As soon as I got this polish (and some of her sisters called Supernova, Solar Flare & Anomaly), I had to take these brush/bottle shots of all of them! I haven't been using a macro lens for long so I'm still surprised every time I manage to get the individual glitters on photo :D This polish has a clear base, packed with multichrome glitters that shift between teal, purple, copper and some green flashes as well. The copper comes out at an angle that didn't agree with my camera so it was really hard to capture it. Photos are not enough, you need to see this for yourself!

For a brief moment, I considered painting the spaceship Serenity on top of this polish to go all matchy-matchy but then I thought 'No! Let's make an exploding planet!' ... and look how well that turned out... It looks more like a helmet, don't you think?

I received Digital Nails Serenity as a press sample for an honest review. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.
