Tribal butterfly nail art

I've always had a thing for tribal tattoos and prints, I don't know what it is. I started doodling with the idea of a tribal pattern in my head and this is what came out! I used two polishes from the SuperChic Lacquer High Voltage collection to color in the butterfly and make it look electric. There's a video tutorial too if you want to try your hand at it. Click to see more!

I'm showing off Live Wire & Short Circuit from SuperChic Nails. If you haven't seen my nail polish seduction video featuring the whole High Voltage collection, I swear you're missing out. It shows these holos in their true gorgeousness, in full sun, totally droolworthy!

I used Parrot Polish Dove for the base and lo and behold! It glows! It's been a while since I've used a white glow as a plain base, making a silhouette with the art on top. Sometimes trying to make intricate, detailed, original nail art takes away the simple, fun stuff that I used to do. I forgot how much I like this!

I really think this dark brown is the perfect color for a tribal tattoo nail art design! It's acrylic paint, just like the white dots on the butterfly's wings. I use cheap craft paints for nail art, no special kind. I also use my Roubloff 00 from AdNails Manucure to paint with the acrylic paints.

I received all of the polishes in this article as a press sample for an honest review. Opinions expressed are 100% my own and not influenced in any way other than the quality of the product itself.
