Cupcake nail art , very tasty

It's been a while, but it's nail art time again! Every week, there's a nail art challenge in a FB group I'm in. It's a great group of people and I really feel comfortable there, getting and giving compliments and talking about all the stuff that you might want to know when you're into nail art. This week, the challenge is cupcakes! I happen to luuuuuv cupcakes!

This challenge was awesome, I had so much fun making this mani!

It was my first time using caviar beads, and let me tell you, they are a pain. I haven't found a good way to stick them to my nail yet, so I used a dotting tool that I dipped in top coat to put a sticky dot on the nail. Then, without wiping the dotting tool, I picked up one of the beads that I had strewn out over a piece of paper (always have them on a surface you can pick up and tilt to get them back into their container) and placed it on the dot of top coat while it was still wet. You have to work fast, and precise, and the top coat dries fast. Sometimes it leaves long threads of dried top coat, they look like hairs. They suck :-p

But anyways, all of this is hand drawn with polish, I used a striper (the stripes on my middle finger didn't turn out great, I'm not happy with them), a small detail brush, and a dotting tool for making the dots and applying the beads & the rhinestones.
