Blue flower in vase nail art

I wasn't sure if I wanted to post this one. I really like the way how I make designs fit my regular hand pose, instead of the boring 'four nails lined up straight' pose. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't! I'm still pretty proud of the way I painted the water, and the flower came out pretty, so I wanted to share anyways. I managed to record a video tutorial too, click to see more!

See how the flower is kind of the star of the show? It was painted with acrylic paint, as was the rest of the design. I used my Basic One Gold detail brush from Christrio Scotland, I only break out the Roubloff for the truly tiny lines :-p And my top coat, as always, is HK Girl top coat from Glisten&Glow.
The background is Super Chic Lacquer Mink for the base. Even though dark colors are never much my thing, this one has become one of my favorites nonetheless. I won this polish back in 2013, click the link to be transported back in blogging history and laugh your butt off about my crappy cell phone pictures!
